I had this book maybe for like 2 years and didn’t think about it until recently listening to a podcast of MeatCanyon talking about Penpal. I enjoyed Penpal a lot, so I read Bad Man.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. The main character, Ben, is looking for his younger brother who went missing in a grocery store one day 5 years prior to the story. The author sets Ben up to have mixed feelings with him from you sympathize with him losing his brother and feeling guilt for it… and then other feelings when you start getting to the middle of the book until you get to the end.
The end without spoiling it is I think what really makes you eithee like this book or just feel it was wasted. If you are a person who is ok with flipping back chapters to re-read context and how it sets up the end: it is a good ending.
