Halloween is right around the corner and sadly my Halloween spirit is low this year. Looking for a good book to read and I’ve also never explored the horror genre of books before. I like fast pace because I get easily bored sadly. Any horror will do, vampires, supernatural, true stories, just anything you can think of and enjoyed. Maybe some gothic recommendations too, I recently watched “The Others” and absolutely loved it so I wouldn’t mind exploring that genre either. Thanks.

*Between Two Fires* by Christopher Buehlman is horror set in France during the Black Death. A disgraced soldier meets a young girl who is more than meets the eye.
It’s extra scary if you were raised Christian or are otherwise familiar with Christian traditions, as that’s what the horror element is based on.
Alternatively, you could read *A Night in Lonesome October* by Roger Zelazny, which is a spooky fantasy story set in London told from a dog’s perspective
