I love historical fiction (Laura Purcell is a fav, I will read anything belong to her), thriller/mystery books (my latest was The Temple Hall Vanishing) or the true-ish biographies (Cathy Glass and Casey Watson write about fostering children but will change things for privacy).
I’m currently reading Outlander (loving it) and The Last Story of Mina Lee (feeling meh about it).
I don’t mind if it’s a series or a stand alone, I don’t mind what it is from the above genres or even adjacent to them! Just what you think I might enjoy.

The suspicions of Mr Whicher by Kate Summerscale.
Historic true crime about a murder that inspired the detective genre.
Kate Morton! I read “Homecoming” and loved it. Also Stacey Halls’ “Mrs. England.”
