Often time we got male character written by female. To be honest, realistically it is not a healthy thing to be delusional about, where I see a lot of young girls (especially booktok girls romanticising the fictional character).
I’m female and I’m tired of reading male point of view written by women. I need to understand male character written realistically from male author. I think that’s the best way for us young girl to understand man.
I personally reads a lot classic literature. I read a lot Charles Bukowski. Growing up with brothers, and my neighbours all consisted of boys, I never really got to be real girl. Some might say I’m a bit tomboy. So I learn to be a girl, read what girls read and to be honest, these confused me a lot more.
To men, I was considered as too feminist, a bit sensitive and haplessly romantic as girl should be. To women, I was considered too masculine and simple minded, less overthinking, sometime being labelled as not caring or cold hearted as man.
I need books written about man throughout male perspective, about how they’re seeing or thinking about woman. I’m intrigued to know what guys think about women. Are we really that dramatic and sensitive as they might think we are?
Because most male character that was written by female is a fictional man that women desire, not the real personality of real man.
This all very interesting to me, as a non binary person (idk if that’s the case for me here), to see and understand what man see in us. You could say that I’m trying to find what beauty man sees in woman.
If woman understands man, and man understands woman, we understand each other, life would be easier and better for us to reduce the amount of fake hopes and high expectations in relationship.
