Alright guys, time to shine. My nephew is 16, not a great reader. I suggested the hunger games and he liked it. Please give me some more suggestions. They don’t have to be adventure books, books of any kind that you think a 16 year old boy would enjoy. Please and thank you all ❤️

Scholomance series by Naomi Novik
Hmm is there a problem with very mild sexual content? When i was his age i read across the nightingale floor and greatly enjoyed the whole series but it alludes to sexual content (non descriptive) a couple of times.
My brother really liked everything by Carl Deuker
I think it’s recommended maybe too much here, but the Murderbot Diaries series is something I’d have loved at 16.
It might also help if you can share some interests of his, for example if he likes a particular genre of movie you can get books in the same genre.
Silo
If he would enjoy fantasy I would suggest The Land of Shadows by Seth Lowen. It’s a pretty new release, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. I think it’s going to be a series too, at least the ending left room for more in the future.
Not too late to get into Harry Potter!
It starts off a bit childish cos they’re young in the first couple books, then the 3rd is mind-bendy, and the latter ones are incredible. Fantastic detail, political intrigue and strong social commentary. Those books are very high quality writing as well, especially the last few as the politics and which side you fight for starts coming into play.
One Hundred Years Of Solitude. It’s not YA, but an easy read and very beautiful. It might spark a love of reading in him.
My son says Narnia
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams! I read it as an 18 year old, and was sorry I hadn’t read it earlier. I think 16 is the perfect age for this book series.
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
