I have ADHD and can’t seem to focus on books that take too long to get to the point or are overly descriptive and don’t grab my attention very fast. What are some books that are immediately gripping and make you want to keep reading with every chapter? I really love horror, thriller, and even some romance and fantasy. Some books i’ve really liked are Tender is the Flesh, The Housemaid, Verity, The Troops, and Fourth Wing!

I finished “the institute” by Stephen king. An easy read, I finished it over a weekend.
Out of the Earth series by Jake Bible. 4 books: Out of the Earth, Out of the Sky, Out of the Fire, & Out of the Stars
Giant monsters emerge from the earth and start the end of the world as we know it. A higher intelligence has other plans though and humanity is forced to make dire choices in order to survive, if that’s even possible?!
This series follows a variety of people, in different locations and positions of power across the country, as they all struggle through the chaos and destruction in a desperate attempt at survival. Lots of cussing throughout the books… but given the circumstances the characters are in, I’d cuss a lot too🤷♂️
The housemaid by freida McFadden is an easy read and is good for adhd because I have it and I’m on page 200 now.
What Lies In The Woods. I knocked it out in a day and loved it.
Recursion.Blake Crouch
I like the “Nameless” series by Dean Koontz. Short, fun reads. Little thrillers.
Dark Matter, Blake Crouch. That thing’s not normal, I quite literally never put it down til I finished. (Wandered around occasionally feeding myself with a book in my face.) Read it again cuz I absolutely inhaled it, only to inhale again. I dunno, that’s more drug than book.
The *Murderbot* series by Martha Wells is so much fun. Most of the books are short, easy to read, and you’ll sail right through them. Then you’ll immediately be looking for the next one.
