It’s only basic sci-fi fiction and doesn’t offer anything profound. But to me at 22 when I read it, it gave me my love for reading that my whole school tenure and before couldn’t or just didn’t. Before I had read that book, the last book I read was The Great Gatsby by force by my Junior year lit teacher. I was also failing because it was a horribly boring book with characters I hated.
