I just put The Four Winds down after 113 pages because it was so depressing and miserable and I found myself dreading picking it up again. I hear it doesn’t get much more hopeful so I think I made the right choice. I was disappointed because I loved The Nightingale and The Great Alone. Those are the only other two novels by her that I’ve attempted and finished. She’s written so many books and some say her earlier stuff is just as good. What are your favorites by her?
