Theodore Dreiser “The finansier”, “The Titan”, “The stoic”. The last one I haven’t read, but the first and second are pretty good.

Get Colin Nicolson’s *Writing and the Rise of Finance*. He spent years researching the interactions between literature and economics (how novelists incorporate economic issues and how economists are influenced by literary models) and his bibliography will keep you occupied forever.
I got to know about him because he culled his shelves when he retired and gave his stuff to the charity bookshop I worked for. His intellectual range was phenomenal and it was one of the most valuable donations we ever got.
