hi everyone!
**i am looking for relatable books that display (natural) scientists struggling with insecurities and ethical dilemmas related to their work.**
i am tired of the genius scientist narrative. i want something realer and more relatable. i want average scientists.
i want books that show interconnections between natural sciences/technology and social issues. ethical dilemmas.. especially ethical dilemmas around environmental technology/environmental issues/climate change interest me!
just finished watching the series “3 body problems”. it had its weaknesses but i absolutely loved how it showed scientists constantly judging, doubting and questioning themselves. it felt very relatable to me as a person hoping to pursue a career in natural sciences/technology. especially the story of will, who ended up a teacher for not feeling intelligent enough to be a researcher, resonated with me.
