I just finished this book and it is now one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. I can’t believe this is the author’s first book. She writes such human characters with flaws and growth, it really is lovely reading about the Seagrave family and I found myself growing attached and thinking about them even while not reading. A great perspective on WW2 as well, it felt very well researched and thought out by Quinn. I highly recommend this book, especially to those who ever wondered how they belong in this world. And to anyone who wants to read a book that will make them ugly cry.
