I really want to get into fantasy romance, but every single popular book I see seems to be YA that fixates on smut, reverse harems and all kinds of sexual stuff. I don’t mind reading romance with some smut in it at all, but I’d prefer it if it weren’t a big part of the story/plot. I’d also prefer it if the characters are 25+ as reading 18-19 year olds in those situations feels icky for me.
Disclaimer since this is the internet: I’m not attacking or judging those kinds of books at all. If you like them, by all means enjoy them. They’re just not for me which is why I’m asking for recs.
