I’ve started reading books consistently for minimum an hour a day. I am non native to english. So my english is just short of decent without even a slight complex of vocabularies involved. But nevertheless I am improving my english everyday.
The problem is, while I am reading, I would atleast get around 7-10 new vocabularies that are new or that I rarely use. So, I resort to google or online dictionaries to get its actual meaning and then understand the contexual meaning in that place of book. So collectively it takes me a significant amount of time to get through a single page. I also tried noting down the words to look for the meanings later to avoid getting back and forth between the book and googling. But later after knowing its meaning, I found out many times that, I had got the entire plot wrongly understood because of incorrect assumption of its meaning. So as result I hardly read 3 or 4 pages in an hour and get exhausted too quickly.
I would appreciate some help from people who got through situations similar to this.
