I just finished Ella Minnow Pea, and while I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would (I think the epistolary format doesn’t work for me), I really like the concept of it and thought it was executed really well. I’d love some more recommendations like this!

Probably the most gimmicky novel I ever read was Mark Z. Danielewski’s House of Leaves and I thought it was fantastic (if it was written more conventionally, I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much)
Autumn of the Patriarch. There is almost no punctuation nor proper dialog, just a huge stream of consciousness of several characters and the narrator.
