    1. Probably the most gimmicky novel I ever read was Mark Z. Danielewski’s House of Leaves and I thought it was fantastic (if it was written more conventionally, I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much)

    2. Autumn of the Patriarch. There is almost no punctuation nor proper dialog, just a huge stream of consciousness of several characters and the narrator.
