I got into warhammer recently because I love the feeling of endless lore everywhere. But after reading some of the books, I found myself disappointed that every interaction with aliens ended in “xeno scum” or “turns out they were dicks”
Are there books/series focusing on this interaction between races and actually building upon it? I’m hoping for something with space opera vibes.

Jean Johnson’s “First Salik War”
Spinneret by Timothy Zahn.
The Sector General series by James White.
Ender’s Game could work although any interaction between the humans and aliens occurs at the end of the book. Foundation could work as well but that is different factions of spacefaring humans, not aliens (although their cultures are very different). The Thrawn Trilogy is also always an option
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. A classic.
