I’m looking to write a book with a decent amount of fighting and want to read a lot of it beforehand so I can get a solid grasp on how to do it effectively. Nothing super grand or anything, they’re mostly one on one fights with weapons and a simple magical gimmick or two but they can still be difficult to write. Can anyone recommend a novel with great fight scenes and magical elements? Obviously the plot and characters should be good too or else the fight scenes will just be inherently unenjoyable
