it doesn’t have to be any specific genre or topic. it can be a book that was a great, immersive distraction for you during a tough time. it can be a book with a very uplifting message or an important lesson about life. it can be about friendship, heartbreak, etc or just a grand, fun adventure with no in-depth take-aways.

my PTSD flare-ups are the worst they’ve ever been, i have a lot of intense turmoil/stress right now, barely sleep and i’d love to turn to reading as my hobbies (music, reading, etc) have gotten me through so much.

    thank you in advance!

The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno Garcia – it’s a soft romance with magic as a backdrop. I read it in a day because I was so hooked. Breezy and a little intense at times, the pacing was perfect. It has a magician in it so 👍
This is a quote from it that I really like
“he’d had scant practice at the sport of affection. He’d seldom wanted it, preferring to dwell in the pits of melancholy.”
