i usually really enjoy fantasy, but it took me a full month to get through ‘the hobbit’. i was never exposed to it or LotR as a kid, so i wanted to read it just for the experience and, man, it was a slog. it wasn’t until i came across a post on here that basically said “don’t worry about the plot, it’s pretty much just vibes” and that changed everything. i was able to finally finish it that same week.
