I recently have gotten back to reading and have been trying to organize what books I used to like, now like and find new ones to read and these 3 apps seem to be pretty good but I’m really hoping to only use one or 2. Inputting all the books I’ve read will take forever manually but I’ve already got a good chunk of them in Goodreads so I’m hoping to be able to export it.
Between the whole Amazon stuff and just the horrible search/discover function I’m overall quite disappointed with Goodreads.
Anyways any tips on which are good for what and any other suggestions would be lovely.

I exported my data from Goodreads to StoryGraph a couple years ago and haven’t looked back. I haven’t heard of Likewise. I use the app to track what I’ve been reading and to read reviews of books once I’ve finished them to see what other people thought. StoryGraph produces fun little graphs of my reading data, I find it easier to log exact editions of my books with it, and I feel like the reviews there are generally of better quality than in GR, especially since they don’t allow people to include GIFs. I also like that their interface looks cleaner and their independent creator is constantly working on improving the app (I follow them on Insta and they’re always open about what they’re working on and take requests on what could be improved, whereas GR has been stagnant for years). That being said, I’ve never used either app to suggest books for me so I’m not sure which one would be better for that.
Storygraph has some decent suggestions. You can also follow “similar” readers and see what they’re reading. I still use Goodreads to read a quick synopsis or preview of the books I’m interested in. But yeah storygraph feels more alive, even if it’s in some sort of infancy
i use TBR bookshelf!
i like this because it’s not performative like goodreads is.
and it’s also got this neat feature where you can just scan the books barcode and it adds it to your TBR. idk if any other app does that lol but i mainly use it because it’s just for you, its not performative and other people can’t see your stuff.
