Hi, I had this idea the other day when I was reading. I’ve been heavily into the fantasy genre all my life (as of late also some SciFi).
I’ve read a ton of books there and just now noticed something that struck me as a bit odd. Why is there never a truly evil protagonist? There might be the odd book where the main character is seemingly on the bad side but eventually they all turn out to be “evil, but actually the good guy”.
Do you know of any books where that isn’t the case? I do quite enjoy book series with sequels but of course standalone novels are also alright. In any case it would be a nice change of pace to get the “bad PoV” for once.
