I’ve read so many books where the main girl has a bad relationship with her bad father or father-figure and I want something different where her relationship with the father-figure is better or more trusting and obviously I would like them to be a main part of the story
For reference, I’m currently reading Renegades trilogy by Marissa Meyer and the main girl is raised by her “villain” uncle and from where I am (i’m not finished yet) he seems like a very caring guardian which I love for her but also I question her morals because she learned a lot of hard lessons from him – this is exactly the kind of thing I’d love to read more of.
I think what I’m looking for is also something like the grumpy guy accidentally adopts a daughter trope
Doesn’t specifically have to be adopted or taken in by someone else, I just want a healthy(ish?) father / daughter kind of relationship where she grows to be his student/prodigy or something like that
