I’ve got a 2 hour train ride today and I don’t have an audiobook (that’s not porn) to listen to on the way, so I’m hear to seek a suggestion.
I was searching on this sub for suggestions on books on Fatphobia, but I found that I have read pretty much every suggestion.
(Aubrey Gordon’s books, you have the right to remain fat, Belly of the Beast, Fearing the Black Body, I haven’t read Hunger by Roxane Gay yet but that’s bc there’s still 6 weeks til I’m at the top of the hold list at my library, etc.)
So I was hoping y’all might have some more suggestions, especially since the biggest thread I found is a few years old now.
I’ve also been really into books on feminism after reading Shrill, Invisible Women, and Men who Hate Women, so I was hoping y’all might have some suggestions on where to go from there.
And my last big interest is autism in women, especially the different social expectations and medical treatment of women with autism v. Men with autism.
And even though this is a request for non-fiction suggestions, I would also gladly take any suggestions y’all have for romances or graphic novels or middle-grade fiction with fat and/or autistic leads (I’ve already read Helen Hoang’s books and Act Your Age, Eve Brown)
Thanks in advance to anyone who might take the time to respond 🙂
