(i’ve recently plowed through my want to read list and need a new one. this one is particularly relevant because of a project i’m working on that involves androids in the narrative.)
looking for books (or any narrative medium honestly—games, graphic novel, movie etc is also welcome) about AI or androids or any other anthropomorphized technology or machines. particularly about them questioning their existence or conflict with humanity. (i must also say i tend not to follow much with very heavy sci fi where you have to memorize a lot of extras about the world to understand characters’ conversations, but i’m open)
my favorite narratives about this topic are detroit: become human and klara and the sun.
my reading list includes
-ancillary justice
-caves of steel
-the lifecycle of software objects
i have read do androids dream of electric sheep.
i would very much appreciate more recommendations! thank you!!!
