I’m looking for a fairly specefic history book which talks about night sky and its stars
Specifically, I find the fact humanity for most of its existence was able to see a marvelous clear sky at night a fascinating detail people forget, I didn’t find any video talking about specifically the societal impact that had
So I’m looking for a book which looks into that, specifically from a social and day to day perspective not astronomy or religion.
was it scenery people couldn’t get enough of or did most medieval peasants just sleep through it?
when light pollution started to hide stars did people fight back against it?
Or was it really just a detail people become numb to like living in a beautiful countryside all your life?
