Hi !
Last post on the similar topic dated 5 years ago or so.
Could you advise me a few books on the topic **(look for the details below)** which you would take with you on an island or those ones you would never take off your shelves? I am looking for a good story and writing.
– Preferably **non-fiction (!)**, a real story about someone surviving in the woods after getting lost… and die there if it is the case, or live to tell the tale, for that matter.
– Maybe some old stories, accounts, memoirs of people who were kidnapped while hitchhiking back in the 40-70s or so? Who gone missing with no trace and the whole thing remains a mystery. Just trying to be more precise, all suggestions are welcome!
– The U.S. & Canada countries of occurrence, if you will.

P.S.S. A thought came to me after that famous Oregon woman case kidnapped in the ’70s or so, who had been imprisoned for years and then escaped with the help of the psycho’s wife. You can find it on YouTube. Or ask me in the comment.
