Hi, my favorite genre is scifi.
I am looking for stuff I can listen to while exercising, mostly running, biking, and swimming. I’m looking for something that is easy to listen to that does not take too much concentration. Simple sentence structure, vocabulary, etc may make it easier to follow while I am exercising and finding it difficult to focus. Maybe young adult fiction? Also obviously it must be available as an audiobook, preferably with an excellent narration.

I usually listen to music to help distract form the pain of intense exercise but someone told me they find an engrossing story even more distracting. They are training for a half-Ironman and say they are so lost in the story they don’t feel their lungs and muscles screaming as they push themselves hard.

I want to try this but I have ADHD and find it sometimes difficult to pay attention to audio books (I space out and have to rewind frequently). Rewinding won’t be possible, especially while swimming. Something with a lot of mysery/suspense (a real “page turner”) where there is a strong feeling that you can’t wait to know what happens next.
Any suggestions?
