I’m a nanny for an infant and I’d like to start reading more. Since it’s important for babies to hear speech, I’d love to find some books that I’d find engaging but that are also child-friendly enough to read out loud.
I’m trying to “catch up” on the classics that I skipped when I was younger (think Catcher in the Rye, Pride & Prejudice, To Kill A Mockingbird, etc.) but without sex, drugs, violence, or death. Any suggestions? Thanks!
* Obviously the baby can’t exactly understand the concepts but the parents & I would feel more comfortable avoiding them regardless
