Mainly reading self improvement books recently. I’ll read a book and get a little month boost from it but then, things come up and suddenly I’m back to where I started. I read the book again and I get the boost again. But if I pick up another book shortly after, the old book is irrelevant and all focus is on the new book and it’s teachings.
Highlighting, notes, and all that stuff hasn’t helped. I find it best when I can fully delve into the book and it’s ideas.
Anyone else feel the same way? How do you guys retain what you read?
