I’m looking for a book with beautiful prose. Some examples: I really enjoy The Name of the Wind + its successor, and Madeline Miller’s Circe + Song of Achilles.
Some books I didn’t really like were the Assassin’s Apprentice, The Wizard of Earthsea, and The Hobbit. I know these names pop up often when fantasy and prose is brought up, but for some reason I just couldn’t get into them! 😭 I’m getting desperate for new things to read so I don’t wanna restrict the genre, but I do prefer more fantastical settings, something that can’t be reasonably found in real life yknow?

I found The Golem and the Jinni to be really well and beautifully written.
Divine Rivals or A River Enchanted both by Rebecca Ross
The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden has stunning prose – lyrical and whimiscal and also has a rich atmosphere.
Neil Gaiman is always my go-to when I’m in this kind of mood.
