I I am looking to get into spooky season by reading something kind of fucked up – like tender is the flesh.
I really enjoy reading books that make me think and question humanity, morally grey/messed up characters, post-apocalyptic type of books. I like to read how far people will go and things that will leave me with right vs wrong type of discussions.
I don’t want a happy ending more so something with a bleak/disturbing ending.. I want to put the book down and go “*wtf did I just read?* I don’t anything “light” or “easy” is what I’m looking for.
Tender is the Flesh was rough but I thought about it for *months* and I fell down a deep rabbit hole of thoughts and whether it would be possible/would humans ever steep to that? I want to be forced to think about things I wouldn’t normally want to think about.
