If y’all don’t understand he is the mmc in haunting Adeline . I was really excited to to read the book cuz I saw a lot of TikTok’s about the book and people even compared him to Aaron warner, so I got it and started reading but the warnings had cannibalism and human trafficking in it so I searched about it cuz I was kinda scared of reading it and when I did there was stuff about him raping her? So I found the chapter and he did in fact rape her and still ends up with her, so y’all who still like him how can you look past the fact that he raped her?

I absolutely hated the book. The people who like that character are really into dark romance. You might find more posts regarding that book in romancebooks sub.
It’s a dark romance which definitely isn’t for everyone. Lots of people process trauma by reliving it in a place where they have control like CNC or books/media. Zade Meadows in real life would catch a bullet or prison time. But in the books it’s comforting for some bc he does care about her as a person. And he’s giving her what she actually wants. This is not a justification for rape and absolutely does not apply to real life if someone raped in real life it is never okay and never what the person actually wanted. But In the book that is the fantasy.
In the second book terrible things happen to the fmc like horrific. And he saves her and lets her process her trauma. It shows the difference between what happened with zade and the fmc and what happened when she didn’t secretly want it. And again no means no in real life. There’s no “they secretly wanted it” you either have consent or you don’t. It’s not a good book bc it’s healthy or realistic. It’s a good book bc it’s gives a fantasy that some people find comfort in. It’s not for everyone and I almost tapped out on the second book bc it got super dark but I still ended up enjoying both.
It’s for people that have those kinks and like dark romance. It just wasn’t ur taste, but it was other people’s. And it states plenty of times (Addie admitting it) that the fear he brought her excited her and he knew it. But really it just is a book that wasn’t ur tastes. That’s why you always read warnings before buying a book. NO SHAMING PEEPS!
