i am currently reading 2 books: *the satanic verses* by salman rushdie, and *a scanner darkly* by philip k dick. to make thongs more interesting, john barths *chimera* is sitting on my shelf.
rushdie is starting to bore me after what was an insanely good atart, and dick may have great ideas, but it seems a middleschooler could write better than him. barth has my excitement jetting through my veins.
what am i to do? is dick worth my time? is sloshing through rushdie worth the struggle right now? do i shelve both until i start and finish with barth?
thoughts???
