Hey everyone! I’ll be 29 (f) this year and just recently graduated with my masters in social work. Finding work relating to my field with a good salary has been hard and just left a 1 year relationship. Living at home with my dad until I save up for my own place but have been feeling so down and unmotivated.
I have been comparing myself to my peers (I know terrible) and would like a good book to A. Boost my self esteem and B. Help me be proud of my own accomplishments.
I am afro-Latina, first generation- so any readings that incorporate intersectionality would be great!
Do not care if it’s fiction, autobiographical, non-fiction related etc. Suggest me anything!

I have read many self help books but realised it really comes down to actually doing the work to build up your self-esteem.
If I could recommend one book, it will the be [Who am I?](https://amzn.to/3II4Uxg) by the school of life. It is not a book to read per se but an exercise book with prompts for reflection. There are some deep questions that you won’t think to ask, and thus reveals most about yourself (the good and the bad). Cheers to your road of self-discovery!
I was going to say the great Gatsby, but I suspect you’re not in the market for a racist book.
Have you read Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie? I read it in my twenties and it really stuck with me.
