So for context, I generally dislike reading. I’ve never loved it aside from some exceptions.
I decided it would be healthy to read a book instead of looking at my phone on my commute to work, but aside from that I never read.
On that note, I do feel like i have read a good amount of books for someone that doesn’t like reading. I like self help, but feel like it can get boring to read about sometimes unless its amazing.
For extra context, I am 32, Male, designer but work in sales, live in NYC, Chilean, Jew but agnostic, love sports, love to DIY, I’m frugal.
    So:
\- As a kid I remember liking the secret life of bees.
\- A friend recommended The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and I remember liking it even though i don’t remember a thing about it. This was the first time I read on the subway instead of looking at my phone.
    During Covid:
\- I read man’s search for meaning and thought it was ok it even though I don’t love reading about the holocaust. I didn’t love it but it was the perfect for the start of Covid.
\- A friend recommended the book Nothing by Janne Teller and I really liked it. I realized I like books that are a easy read like that one. (Is that like a middle school reading level book?)
\- 4-hour body. I found it and heard good things. It was ok.
\- Emergence by Derek Rydall. Don’t remember if i liked it or not, so i probably didn’t.
\- Letters to a young poet by Rainer Maria Rilke. Legit don’t remember anything except the fact that i read at least half of it.
    Post Covid I’ve read:
\- Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen. Couldn’t get through it.
\- When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing – Really liked it
\- Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian L. Weiss – one of my favorite books ever.
I am currently reading The Elementary Particles by Michel Houellebecq and I can tell its a good book, but I’m not loving it. It is not an easy read and my memory is shit so I don’t remember anyones name. A friend recommended it.
So, thats what I’ve read, and as the title says, I found a good amount of books which I’ll list below, if you can put the top 3 you think I might enjoy that would be great. If you KNOW I would love something not listed, I’ll probably end up buying it.
Books I have available from walking around and finding on stoops:
    \- The handmaid’s tale – Margaret Atwood
\- Love Does – Bob Goff
\- Number the stars – Lois Lowry
\- This boys life – Tobias Wolff
\- The color of water – James McBride
\- Interpreter of maladies – Jhumpa Lahiri
\- St Lucys home gor girls raised by wolves – Karen Russell

\- Dear Martin – Nic Stone
