    Hello everyone 🙂

I have an itch I need to scratch and I’m hoping you can help. I really want a book that combines **archaeology and horror –** I want exploring old forgotten places, or discovering cursed objects deep in the earth. Literally anything that can be put into those categories, bonus points if it takes place in old (like 200+ years) buildings/crypts/mines/etc.

I just read *The Ruins* by Scott Smith and I LOVED it, but I wish there had been >!more about the ruins themselves, like the mines were so interesting but there wasn’t any real exploring of them if that makes sense.!< The events in *The Exorcist* by William Peter Blatty with the statue and the archaeological dig site is a good example of what I’m looking for. But I want an entire book of that kind of thing. A movie example of exactly what I’m looking for is *As Above So Below,* if anyone can recommend me a book with that same kind of Indiana Jones/horror vibe I will be so grateful!

\[Please no Young Adult! Not super interested in those kind of stories.\]

    1. Not sure it ticks all your boxes but The Eaton by J.K. Addis is fun bit of horror. An abandoned, underground hotel discovered by the new owner of the above building.
