My 12 year old is a huge fan of dnd, magic the gathering, Skyrim, Zelda, and basically all things fantasy. He’s read a LOT of series, and I’m always on the hunt for a new one for him. First of all, does anyone know the age range on the two Skyrim books by Greg Keyes? They look promising for him, but I don’t know what age rating they are and can’t seem to find it. I’m also looking for any fantasy suggestions. He especially likes a series – the more books the better, and likes a little battle action. Things he’s loved in the past include The Path of the Ranger books, The Ranger’s Apprentice, The 13th Paladin books, Detora Quest, the Brotherband Chronicles, etc. So I’m looking for suggestions on fantasy books that would be good for a smart, voracious reader if a 12 year old. Nothing too violent, especially no sexual violence, and nothing that’s full of misogyny. Queer characters are a plus. Occasional swearing is okay. Mostly I don’t want any graphic violence or sex. Thanks!
