So in the last couple months I’ve listened to the audiobooks of Happy Place, People We Meet on Vacation, Book Lovers, and Beach Read. Audiobooks are how I shut off my brain and escape, or get my thoughts to stop running in a loop, and Emily Henry’s books are perfect for this (although I found people we meet on vacation a little annoying to be honest). Anyway now I’m done with these books and instead of someone reading a fun, absorbing, all encompassing romance novel to me I’m just… alone with my thoughts again? I don’t like it.
Please, what can I listen to next? I’d love to find an author with a bunch of books so I can just go from one to the next without thinking about it, or maybe a series but I haven’t really found any series I’ve loved in the past. I’d really like hetero romance with a female lead but she can’t be an idiot and the man can’t be there to save her.
Please help me.

I just finished Love Lettering by Kate Clayton. It’s an award winning romance set in NYC. She’s a prolific writer, try her. I prefer closed-door romances but just skip through the uncomfortable bits.
Also try Thank You For Listening, written by Julia Whelan, one of the best romance audio book narrators. It’s funny and engaging.
You might be interested in Ali Hazelwood – she has like five novels and a handful of novellas. All of the women are incredibly smart and there’s no grandiose male saviors.
Christina Lauren books. Start with Unhoneymooners.
(Also, agree with Ali Hazlewood!)
Her new book (funny story) comes out next month!!
Perhaps Abby Jimenez and her duo Part of Your World and Yours Truly? I loved these two so much! And I agree with the poster above about Love Lettering – it was a delightful surprise for me!
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory
Both are the start of a series if you like the firsts!
Romantic Comedy scratched a similar itch for me that Emily Henry does.
Try Carly Fortune
