Suggest me some books that you can sort of zone out and read, don’t need too much mental energy to read it. Similar to how you can just sit back and relax while watching a sitcom, don’t necessarily need to pay attention to keep track of the plot, I want a book that will allow me to do the same while reading it.

Geek Girl maybe but it’s a young adult series
Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons is pretty much this. Published in 1932.
Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson
Diary of a Provincial Lady is hilarious – it’s basically 1930’s Bridget Jones
Although this is a literary book that uses a sitcom as a main inspiration I think it might work as there are few characters to follow and the plot is relatively straightforward. One’s Company, where a woman after some severe traumatic events wins the lottery and decides to build an exactly replica of all the sets from Three’s Company and live in it as each character for a year.
Bridget Jones Diary is kinda light and sassy in this way.
Tales of the city
Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson. It’s classed as literary fiction, but it was a super chill (lol) and fun read. It would be an episode of a weird sitcom.
*A Year in Provence* by Mayle
Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich
