And not the Count of Monte Cristo. I’d like to read a piece of historical fiction that weaves in the life of Napoleon, if possible.
If that doesn’t exist, if anyone could suggest the most interesting non-fiction book on the same subject I’d be grateful. TIA

Young Bloods series by Simon Scarrow
Non-Fiction : ‘Napoleon: A Very Short Introduction’ by David Bell.
of course – the most famous one – War and Peace by LEv Tolstoy
You can’t do better than Dennis Wheatley’s *Roger Brook* series. Great swashbuckling adventure, but historically accurate and thorough – you will know all you could possibly want to know about that period by the end of them.
*An Infamous Army* by Georgette Heyer has a very good description of the Battle of Waterloo.
Sandra Gulland’s Josephine trilogy – a novelization of Josephine Bonaparte’s life.
I think Nana by Emile Zola might be in this ballpark. I’ve read it, but it was a really long time ago
The Queen’s Fortune by Allison Pataki.
Max Gallo has written a nice series that is a fictional biography of Napoleon.
