I am currently working on a personal reading project where I will read 25 Novelists’ entire oeuvre. I have chosen some novelists and want to know who are some other novelists whose entire oeuvre I should read.

I will read every novel and novella they have put out and will also(try to)read every short story they have written.

The authors I have chosen are-

    Vladimir Nabokov
    Virginia Woolf
    Cormac McCarthy
    Toni Morrison
    Leo Tolstoy
    Charles Dickens
    Shirley Jackson
    William Faulkner
    Jane Austen
    Franz Kafka
    Gabriel Garcia Marquez
    Haruki Murakami
    Thomas Pynchon
    Flann O’Brien
    Kazuo Ishiguro
    Jorge Luis Borges

It is a very ambitious project that I am pretty sure will take years to complete.

I am just doing it with novelists because most poets and play writes’ entire works are available in one volume and might not really take as much time to read compared to every novel a novelist has written.

I decided to have this project after watching a youtuber called better than food make a video called habits that destroy your reading and in that video he talked about how you should have a TBR before death list and realised that I do not have any list like that so I decided to make one in my free time.

You could suggest any novelist of any time based on my picks. Preferably literary fiction but I am not averse to literary genre writers.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    1. John Williams only has three, so easier than some. *Stoner, Butcher’s Crossing* and *Augustus.*
