Looking for books that will help me get a handle on my self-esteem, self-confidence, and body image.
I hesitate to use the phrase “body image.”
To be clear, I am looking for a book that can help with more types of body image issues than just weight. Although I’m sure that’s helpful for many, my “body image” issues specifically revolve around my face/facial features – and I just can’t seem to find anything out there that tackles this particular niche. I’m really struggling.
Thanks!

Check out Your Beauty Mark by Dita Von Teese. It’s styled as a coffee table book, but has a lot of helpful advice about making the most of your features and accepting what you can’t change (or if you don’t want to). 🖤
I’ve read a couple of workbooks written for sufferers of BDD but I found them to be really helpful. They both had good chapters on how social norms for beauty can really feed into a poor body image. I’m sorry I can’t remember the titles, but you can do a search.
Also, a classic by Judy Blume is Deenie, a YA pick.
Use of the Self by F.M. Alexander (and his other books). Alexander founded the Alexander technique,, which isn’t about facial features but about postural issues in general.
