I read both of these books in the span of two days, and I was hooked from start to finish. I really like dark, gritty, and depressing stories about real-life injustices that don’t hold back any punches or try to sugarcoat things that actually happen. I think they’re fascinating. I would prefer if it’s something from the 1980s or later. Bonus points if it’s a queer story, but that’s not a requirement.
