Hi all! Just finished reading Chlorine by Jade Song. I read Bunny by Mona Awad and Boy Parts by Eliza Clark before that. I’ve been really loving the unreliable narrator and surrealism in these books. I’m looking for suggestions for more books along these lines — strange/weird/unsettling books about girls/women/femininity/etc. Thanks in advance!

How about In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado? It’s a memoir about an abusive queer relationship but kind of written as a horror story.
True Story – Kate Reed Petty (it’s about sexual assault so just a warning on that)
Our Wives Under the Sea – Julia Armfield
Girl, Woman, Other – Bernardino Evaristo
How to be Both – Ali Smith
Eileen – Otessa Moshfegh
Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas
Wilder Girls by Rory Powers
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson.
