A couple of years ago I read Less Than Zero, my first and only BEE, and I didn’t like it. The main thing that put me off was its prose. I guess as someone who loves Pynchon, Proust and this kind of sprawling and complex writing, LTZ didn’t leave me much to chew on from that point of view. And while I get it was serving that story of nihilism and detachment, it all felt way too fast for me and too dialogue heavy. Does his style change or gets better as grew older, after all it was his debut? Do you think I would like anything else he has written?
