I just watched Love Lies Bleeding (which is an AMAZING movie), and I’ve developed an unsatiable urge for a book with similar themes/feeling. So essentially, what I’m looking for is a book that has dark elements with complicated protagonists in bad situations who make even worse decisions. I’d really love it had a non-standard romance. I adore sapphic stories, but I think I have a good few recs that fit that genre. So, I was wondering if there might be any books that fit this description, but have a M/F couple that do not fit into a conventional romance. For example, gender-non-conforming characters, or the characters having a dynamic that’s not often expected of M/F relationships. A happy ending is not necessary. Thank you!
