a. A contemporary literary novel suitable for a
4U level student preferably written by a Canadian author. Authors from other countries may also be considered especially if i they are post-colonial.
b. A book that serves as a mirror for students who have not traditionally experienced books that reflect themselves through their schooling. OR A book that serves as a window or sliding glass door for students who have often seen themselves in books
through their schooling in encouraged.
c. A book that you have not yet read. It should be a book that you enjoy and can spend a significant amount of time with
