I want a book that will help me navigate through negative emotions when dealing with mean people because I need to learn that not everything in life is fair game and not to be upset about vicious behavior of others.
(Don’t make fun of me I got adhd and had a couple of rough school years I’m trying to be more nonchalant)

Are you in high school still? (You said school so wasn’t sure?)

*Lessons for Life* by Phil Stutz is the first that comes to mind. I just finished it and although I can see why it’s somewhat controversial I found it very eye opening.

There’s also some books on emotional mindfulness for teens that may be helpful if you’re still in high school.

*The Light We Carry* by Michelle Obama could also be helpful.

    2. I know exactly how you feel (since I have also ADHD and the same problem). I can’t tell you books which explains how to regulate your emotions, but what helped me are next to breathing exercices “How emotions are made” by Lisa Feldmann, “Good reasons for bad feelings” by Randolph Nesse and “Mans search for meaning” by Viktor Frankl. The first two books explain why we feel the we do and give a good insight and hints about emotions inner workings. Last one is about taking a constructive attitude towards life in worst situations you can’t change
