I really loved “A Little Life”, but I can’t deny that I did feel it was obvious the author didn’t do research on how trauma presents itself in people, and I believe she even admits this in an interview. I would love to read a book similar… but better? Some aspects of the book bothered me and felt a little like trauma porn. That being said, I love a dark, sad, gut-wrenching book, but I think it’s important for the author to understand the content they are writing about.
