Creepy alien books similar to Alien(the movie)

I absolutely love the Alien movies, especially the first one. I loved the idea of an unknown species being trapped inside somewhere with a human, essentially stalking it. It was like a scary and intimate feeling when Ripley was the last one left(besides Jonesy) trapped with the Alien. I was wondering if there were similar books where the main premise is finding a new hostile alien species.

I prefer stories where they find one or a couple of the aliens as opposed to stories with hordes of aliens. I heard The Three Body Problem was good but was wondering if there was an alien book with more creature based aliens as opposed to intellectual humanoid aliens.
