I finished David Copperfield by Dickens 2 days ago. It took me a while to read it all, I started it a few months ago actually. But I’m SO GLAD I didn’t give up on it. I think it has become one of my favorite books, really. I personally enjoyed it a lot. I felt like I was growing up with poor little David and I got really attached to him. I still remember the chapters when he worked at that factory as a little boy and how he described buying pastries and sweets in the morning before work and not having money for food after.
I’m so glad he got his happy end and couldn’t not cry about it once I finished reading the book. I think it was always meant to be Agnes and I’m really happy that they ended up together. I simply devoured the last few chapters because I was so curious about their whole \`\`situationship\`\`, to put it that way.
I was curious of what did people think of it. Did you enjoy it? Did anyone get really annoyed at Dora but felt bad for her once she got sick? What do you think of the ending and the book in general? I’m curious to hear your reviews!
